How To Get Certified As A Personal Trainer

The following organizations can certify you as a personal trainer. Consider continuing education programs for fitness specialization. A couple of these companies may not offer NCCA accredited programs:

      ACSM - American College of Sports Medicine - Personal trainer certification information page

      AFAA - Aerobics and Fitness Association of America

      AFPA - American Fitness Professionals and Associates
Additional accredited certification programs for Nutrition Consultant, Weight Management, Yoga and Pilates Instructors, Senior's and Children's Fitness

      ACE - American Council on Exercise

      Cooper Institute - Certified Personal Trainer program

      IFPA - International Fitness Professionals Association

      ISSA - International Sports Sciences Association

      NASM - National Academy of Sports Medicine
      NASM - PES - Performance Enhancement Specialist

      NCSF - National Coucil on Strength and Fitness

      NFPT - National Federation of Personal Trainers
